About

Who We Are

Douce France London offers French holiday camps, after school clubs and private French tutoring services.

The name Douce France is inspired by the song by famous French singer Charles Trenet, in which he recalls memories of childhood. Revisiting our own childhood memories inspired the desire to create a warm, family-oriented company where children can learn, grow and live joyful experiences.

“Douce France, cher pays de mon enfance, bercée de tendre insouciance, je t’ai gardée dans mon cœur.”

Supported by a team of carefully selected experienced professionals who adapt to the needs and rhythm of each child, we offer a wide range of artistic, creative and sports activities designed to encourage curiosity, confidence and self-expression.

Douce France London also aims to help children learn how to live together, communicate, listen and respect one another through cooperative and group activities. These experiences allow young people to develop their individuality while learning to grow within a community.

“Play is the child's job, it is his job, it is his life.”

At the heart of Douce France London’s educational approach are play, creativity, imagination and physical movement.

Play is far more than entertainment. It is an essential part of a child’s development. Through play, children develop intellectual, social, sensory and motor skills, while also strengthening language and communication abilities.

Creativity and imagination encourage children to explore life beyond boundaries, develop new ideas and express their individuality with confidence. They are essential skills that helps children understand their emotions and adapt to new situations throughout their lives.

Physical movement is essential to children’s wellbeing and development. Through sports, dance and active games, children develop coordination, body awareness and a natural form of self-expression.

“Logic will take you from point A to point B. Imagination will get you everywhere.”

The signature of Douce France London lies in its unique combination of play, creativity, imagination and movement, complementing school learning while helping children grow with confidence, curiosity and strong social skills.

DAVID

Originally from Lyon, David graduated from EM Lyon Business School. He worked for four years across a variety of sectors, including recruitment and client account management. In 2014, he decided to pursue his passion for theatre and became a professional actor. Since then, he has worked as an actor, improviser, voice-over artist, and drama teacher. Through his artistic career, he has developed a strong belief that creative and performing arts activities play a vital role in a child's overall development. Together with Jennifer, he co-founded Douce France in 2022 with the aim of sharing with children everything that theatre has brought to his own life: self-confidence, creativity, imagination, openness to others, and the joy of learning through play.
